Service Technician

About the role

This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of equipment found in service stations and convenience stores, including fuel dispensers, submersible fuel pumps, service station site controllers, credit card readers, cash register consoles, pumping systems, tank and line monitoring equipment, and more.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and comply with fire safety, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
• Analyze equipment issues and determine corrective actions for service and repair.
• Perform repairs, scheduled maintenance, and factory-authorized modifications.
• Maintain tools required for safe and effective job performance.
• Follow customer safety and housekeeping guidelines during on-site repairs.
• Resolve warranty calls on dispensers and tank monitors.
• Perform after-hours service calls as needed.
• Conduct break-fix and preventative maintenance on service station electronics, computers, and fuel dispensing systems (electronic, plumbing, and mechanical work).
• Deliver quality customer service, ensuring cost-effective completion of duties.
• Complete prerequisite work to obtain and maintain OEM certifications.
• Assist lead technicians with equipment start-up and commissioning on service projects.
• Travel as required for job assignments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver License.
• Familiarity with computer operations and aptitude for learning computer skills.
• Gilbarco Dispenser and Veeder Root Tank Monitor certification preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and standing for 8-10 hours per day.
• Must pass company employment requirements, including drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR (if driving for the company).
