Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine, and mechanical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, and scheduled service.
- Complete repairs ranging from routine maintenance to major component replacement.
- Utilize manufacturer diagnostic software, service manuals, and technical resources.
- Accurately document inspections, repairs, labor, and parts used.
- Perform welding and light fabrication as required to complete repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work closely with the Parts and Service departments to complete repairs efficiently.
- Participate in manufacturer training and technical development opportunities.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience repairing heavy construction, agricultural, forestry, or diesel-powered equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Thorough knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine, drivetrain, and mechanical systems.
- Proficient welding and basic fabrication skills are required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Basic computer skills for diagnostics, service documentation, and parts lookup.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training is preferred.
