About the role
The Service Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing Toyota and Scion vehicles, adhering to factory standards and Toyota’s commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform factory-recommended maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, fluid inspections, etc.)
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using Toyota’s diagnostic tools and systems (Techstream, TIS, etc.)
- Execute warranty repairs in compliance with Toyota Motor Corporation’s guidelines
- Accurately document all work performed and parts used in the dealership’s repair order system
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations with the Service Advisor and customers as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or automotive trade school preferred
- Toyota or manufacturer-specific training (T-TEN program graduates encouraged to apply)
- ASE Certification(s) preferred or willingness to obtain
- 1-3 years of professional automotive experience preferred (dealership experience a plus)
- Familiarity with Toyota diagnostic systems and repair procedures
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
