Service Technician
Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician (Apprentice Electrician with adequate experience will be considered) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, including both commercial and industrial environments. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as the ability to work with high and low voltage systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations during all work performed.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians when necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification.
- Proficiency in working with hand tools and high voltage equipment.
- Experience as a commercial electrician or industrial electrician is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and their applications.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
Additional Information
- Physical Demand: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Working Conditions: Field service in water and waste water.
- Training/Certifications: Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification. Apprentice Electrician will be considered.
- Shift Time/Overtime: Full Time; Monday- Friday, after hours and weekend overtime occasionally required.
- Travel: Occasional travel.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Location: Dallas, TX.
