Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring all DLP-owned and managed assets deliver an exceptional experience to residents, tenants, and guests. Responsibilities include maintaining curb appeal, handling cleaning and maintenance needs, and responding to after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Resolve service requests within 48 hours with no callbacks
• Manage work orders efficiently
• Execute make-ready tasks for vacated rental homes
• Travel between scattered-site properties to complete maintenance work orders
• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, appliance, and general maintenance repairs
• Maintain property grounds, common areas, and amenities
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed
• Update and manage assigned work orders in property management software
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment

Requirements

• Strong handyman skills with experience in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and general repairs
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage time effectively while working in the field
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable using mobile technology and work order systems
• CPO Certification is a plus
• Must provide basic hand tools
• Able to participate in an on-call rotation
• Self-starter who can work independently across multiple properties
• Reliable vehicle capable of transporting tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in property management or related field preferred
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
