Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to perform service work on filtered water systems, including bottle-less water coolers, ice machines, sparkling water dispensers, and coffee brewers. This role involves installations, maintenance repairs, preventative maintenance, and acting as the face of Consolidated Water Group by providing a positive customer service experience during site visits. The Field Service Technician will operate a company vehicle and report to the Field Service Manager. Hands-on training is provided upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot products for required repairs
• Routinely change water filters, clean and sanitize water tanks, change UV bulbs, and clear water lines
• Visually inspect for leaks and malfunctions
• Perform service agreement tasks and other job-related duties as assigned
• Follow company and customer safety policies and procedures
• Maintain and comply with company vehicle maintenance policy and procedures
• Demonstrate strong technical and mechanical aptitude
• Use basic tools and transport equipment and tools to customer sites
• Electronically transfer customer and company information
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in repair and maintenance
• Technical school degree preferred
• Must wear safety equipment as required; tasks may involve physical exertion
• Ability to lift/move equipment weighing 50-80 lbs
• Ability to kneel/bend for extended periods of time
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to drive for extended periods (2-3 hours)
• Navigate throughout the local area
• Perform basic shop repairs (installation, start-up, troubleshooting) and water testing
