About the role
Cerritos Nissan/Infiniti is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our professional service department. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about automotive technology and committed to delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Performing repairs in accordance with dealership standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Conducting thorough diagnostic testing on vehicle components and systems using specialized service equipment.
- Diagnosing and maintaining complex automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, and HVAC.
- Collaborating with Service Advisors to ensure customers are fully informed regarding repair requirements and time estimates.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Technician is preferred.
- Certification: High school diploma or equivalent, and ASE Certification is required.
- Technical Proficiency: B-level qualifications, including proven expertise in diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair.
- Skill Set: Strong mechanical and troubleshooting capabilities, combined with the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Professionalism: Excellent communication and customer service skills, paired with a positive, collaborative mindset.
- Operational Standards: The ability to learn new technologies and service procedures, possess manual dexterity, and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
