About the role
Mid-Florida Heating & Air is seeking a customer-centric and passionate A/C Service Technician to join our team. The technician will repair various air quality systems, including locating and diagnosing maintenance problems, conducting warranty services, and performing emergency repairs. Multiple positions and skill levels are available due to exponential growth.
Responsibilities
- Travel to homes and businesses daily as scheduled.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems in AC units and perform diagnostic repairs.
- Work with new equipment and high-end communicating systems.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Diagnose system issues, recommend repairs or replacements, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, address client concerns, and determine customer needs.
- Generate sales on every call, including selling maintenance contracts to new and existing customers.
- Inspect HVAC systems for efficiency and safety, and conduct performance tests using specialized tools.
- Renew and sell maintenance contracts.
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools and HVAC parts.
- Repair damaged HVAC systems and troubleshoot current issues.
- Adhere to company Code of Ethics and Team Rules.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Qualifications by Tier
- Tier I (Maintenance & IAQ)
- One-year related experience in the HVAC industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Responsible for equipment tune-ups, clean tune-ups (CTUs), and vent cleanings (including blower wheel cleaning and in-place evaporator cleaning).
- Tier II (Service)
- 3-years related experience in the HVAC industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven ability to complete a service diagnosis and minor repairs.
- Responsible for equipment tune-ups, CTUs, and lead setting.
- Tier III
- 5-years related experience in the HVAC industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven ability to complete a service diagnosis and repairs (minor to complex).
- Responsible for CTUs and tune-ups focused on service and sales.
- Assists in corrections/installs when necessary.
