Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician performs repair and maintenance of manual and automatic doors, works with or without direct onsite supervision, and participates in an on‑call rotation for emergency service.

Responsibilities

• Install and service manual and automatic doors
• Maintain company-owned equipment
• Work in a team environment with other service team members
• Observe all safety rules and best practices
• Participate in on call rotation schedule for emergency service calls (1 week per month with on‑call pay)
• Perform other relative duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Low voltage electrical experience
• Current and valid US driver’s license preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar position
• Must pass pre‑employment background check and drug test

Skills

• Willingness to learn and work well within a team environment
• Ability to read and use a measuring tape, level and other required tools for installation
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule when required to meet customer needs (nights, weekends, overnight)
• Comfortable with heights such as working a ladder and/or aerial man‑lift
• Solid organization, attention to detail and multi‑tasking skills

Schedule

• On‑call rotation schedule for emergency service calls – approximately 1 week per month, with on‑call pay
