Service Technician

About the role

Aurora Sewing Center is seeking a Full-Time and/or Part-Time Service Technician. This role involves troubleshooting, precise reassembly, and repair work on sewing machines. Previous mechanical experience is required, along with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain sewing machines
• Perform diagnostics and repairs
• Work with small motors, solenoids, and gears
• Understand and interpret service manuals, parts catalogs, and schematics
• Use precision measuring instruments and tool room machines
• Analyze and interpret data
• Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
• Show mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Lift and carry sewing machines and other heavy items
• Handle incoming palletized stock and move items between store locations

Requirements

• Experience with small motors, solenoids, and gears
• Basic computer or circuit board knowledge
• Periodic physical work
• Passion for detail

Qualifications

• Previous experience with electromagnetic devices
• Experience with detailed assembly and re-assembly
• Knowledge of sewing machine repair
• Ability to analyze and interpret data
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills
