About the role

The Service Technician repairs and reconditions equipment at profit centers and customer locations, installs equipment, and diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to take corrective action. They also assist customers with questions, problems, or complaints regarding equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and diagnose equipment operating difficulties at customer sites as assigned.
  • Repair or adjust equipment to restore working order.
  • Clean and maintain equipment on location, including exchanging decanters and cleaning brewers.
  • Complete documentation such as closing calls, invoices, asset verification, and customer paperwork.
  • Repair and refurbish equipment; maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Accurately log work completed using a company-provided mobile device.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships to uphold company and product image.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled service activities, including emergency calls, preventative maintenance, surveys, and installations.
  • Keep service area and vehicle clean and organized.
  • Follow company safety guidelines and operate vehicles safely; complete weekly Driver Reports and adhere to Fleet Manual policies.
  • Follow all safety standards and policies set by manufacturers and the company.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Solid understanding of repairing small electrical appliances.
  • Willingness to learn how to connect equipment to water sources, add lines, and manage drainage.
  • Willingness to learn to work with copper, braided, and PEX lines (typically developed through 6 months to 1 year of experience or vocational training).
  • Ability to read and write in English with effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands

  • Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing.
  • May require uniforms and/or use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
