Service Technician

About the role

AmeriGas is searching for an energetic and customer service-oriented Service Technician to install and repair propane tanks while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes
• Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
• Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
• Perform Delivery Representative functions, such as delivering bulk or canister propane, as needed
• Adhere to all federal and state codes, regulations, and AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
• Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment
• Work 8 to 12-hour shifts based on fluctuating needs

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
• Acceptable driving record
• Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs

Pay

$33.00 per hour. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position.
