Service Technician Apprentice

About the role
Under the supervision of a Senior Service Technician, the Service Technician Apprentice is responsible for providing excellent field support for maintaining Fulton equipment and systems until fully trained. This position also supports factory operations and is responsible for obtaining the necessary training to provide field support. All work must align with the company’s values and operating philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical service work in the field safely, efficiently, and capably to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Obtain required training and knowledge to maintain assigned equipment and controls.
- Prepare for field jobs by reviewing NB files, previous service reports, site readiness, and other relevant documentation.
- Complete all required documentation and communication associated with service work, contributing to continuous quality improvement.
- Perform value-added functions in manufacturing, quality, and continuous improvement efforts when not traveling.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior boiler or thermal experience preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical and/or electrical knowledge.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods of time.

Physical Requirements
- Heavy Work: Exert up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
- Ability to operate a sand rammer for extended periods.
- Must be able to use a respirator and may be exposed to dust and fumes.
- Travel: National travel required, including extended periods of sitting during car or airplane travel.
