About the role
TIME Manufacturing Company is seeking a Service Technician that will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, diesel engines, and other automobiles. Your main goal will be to ensure that all equipment is running efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other technicians and departments to ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed on time and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Performing routine maintenance on heavy equipment, diesel engines, autos
- Diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions
- Conducting preventive maintenance on all equipment to minimize downtime
- Writing routine reports and correspondence to document maintenance and repair work
- Collaborating with other technicians and departments to ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed on time and to the highest standards
- Observe the safety precautions as required by the Company; use and/or wear all safety equipment as required; report any unsafe acts or equipment discovered while performing duties
- Clean and maintain work area
- Perform other related duties as required
- Inspect, Repair & Maintain Aerial Lift Equipment: perform in-shop and field based diagnostics and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, vehicle electrical, and electronic control sensors and systems on various aerial equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maximize performance and meet ANSI/OSHA safety standards
- Communicate clearly with customers, walk them through issues and repairs, and ensure satisfaction after every visit
- Maintain clear and accurate records of work performed, parts used, and customer interactions
- Perform field-based on-site service visits at customer locations across the United States and Canada
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical certification (ASE, EVT, or hydraulic systems) or vocational training in a related field is a plus
- 2–3+ years working with aerial lifts, bucket trucks, hydraulic systems, electronic control systems, or heavy equipment (e.g., utility trucks, forestry equipment, aerial work platforms, or construction machinery)
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
- Strong diagnostic abilities across hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of aerial lift products is a plus
- Comfortable working solo in the field, managing time and service priorities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
