Service Technician 1

About the Role

This is an entry-level field position within our Service Department. The Service Technician 1 performs routine pool maintenance, seasonal service work, water chemistry balancing, and assists with basic equipment repairs and inspections. This is a hands-on, outdoor position ideal for mechanically inclined individuals looking to grow within the pool service industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine pool maintenance including vacuuming, brushing, skimming, and basket cleaning
• Complete seasonal pool openings and closings
• Test and balance pool water chemistry
• Inspect pumps, filters, heaters, and plumbing systems for proper operation
• Identify and report equipment issues requiring repair or replacement
• Assist senior technicians with repairs and equipment installations
• Safely operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Maintain accurate service records and job notes
• Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs
• Mechanically inclined with basic hand tool knowledge
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pool service, landscaping, maintenance, or mechanical experience
• Basic understanding of pool water chemistry
• Customer service experience
