About the role
Inspect, maintain, and perform minor to moderate repairs on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), and/or Liquid to Compressed Natural Gas (LCNG) fueling equipment, including compressors, dispensers, priority panels, dryers, storage tanks, and other related equipment. During inspections, identify corrective action and/or proactive maintenance service actions required on CNG/LNG/LCNG equipment and generate service orders for completion or assignment to higher-level technicians.
Ensure assigned stations are operationally prepared for customers by cleaning equipment, removing visible trash, and emptying trash containers. Assist with preventive maintenance (PM) and rebuilds under the direction of higher-level technicians. Fill in for other technicians as required within the region. Provide information and assistance to the public or Clean Energy contracted customers.
Work closely with maintenance planners, field service support, field technicians, and/or Operations management to resolve issues in a timely manner. Coverage at other stations in neighboring states may be required due to business needs. Availability to be on-call 24/7 outside of normal business hours may be required, including potential overtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs under the direction of higher-level technicians.
- Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning equipment to restore proper operating conditions as specified in Clean Energy standard operating procedures and manufacturer repair manuals.
- Conduct scheduled inspections of CNG, LNG, and/or LCNG fueling locations and equipment to ensure proper and normal operating conditions.
- Diagnose and correct faulty mechanical and/or electrical components, devices, and equipment related to CNG, LNG, and/or LCNG systems.
- Maintain cleanliness of fueling locations and equipment.
- Drive to or between company sites to perform job responsibilities.
- Document all activity, service orders, work performed, and recommendations in D365 Clean Energy Field Service Automation (FSA) software.
- Maintain proficiency with personal computers, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Maintain all fueling-related equipment and structures in accordance with manufacturer requirements and Clean Energy standard operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (preferred) or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong electrical and/or electronics skills; mechanical experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply practical understanding of detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and solve problems using critical thinking.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently, 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds (mechanical or second technician assistance required for weights over 50 pounds).

Pay
$28.00 to $42.00 per hour.
Schedule
Day shift, Monday through Friday.
