Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, and aerial lifts.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
  • Execute complex repairs in both a shop environment and on active job sites.
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and fleet manager to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with safety protocols and company standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Service Technician or Mechanic specifically within the construction or heavy equipment industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of a construction environment, including lifting heavy parts and working in various weather conditions.
  • Relevant certifications or vocational training in heavy equipment repair is highly preferred.
