Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, and aerial lifts.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Execute complex repairs in both a shop environment and on active job sites.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and fleet manager to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with safety protocols and company standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or Mechanic specifically within the construction or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical schematics.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of a construction environment, including lifting heavy parts and working in various weather conditions.
- Relevant certifications or vocational training in heavy equipment repair is highly preferred.
