Description

Scope of Work: Assist shop technicians in the repair and overhaul of industrial natural gas engines.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Does shop cleanup
• Works well with his co-workers
• Must work safely
• Must be able to cooperate
• Affords assistance in the repair of shop and/or field work
• Must do service reports, time cards, and other paperwork in a legible, understandable manner
• Affords assistance to the Class A, B and Journeyman Mechanic where required and observes closely to gain additional knowledge
• Takes advantage of any and all service schools and training programs that are offered by the company
• Promotes good welfare among the company and its’ divisions
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Must have GED, High School Diploma, trade school or special service training preferred. Technical background or related experience in engine maintenance and repair preferred.

Requirements

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s): Must have a working knowledge of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its’ objectives.
• Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the company.
• Must conform to company policies and procedures set forth by the company.
• Must have a current driver’s license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance carrier standard if driving company vehicle. (ONLY IF JOB REQUIRES)
• Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirement as outlined by the Department of Transportation. (ONLY IF JOB REQUIRES)
• Must be computer literate, a Windows based environment preferred (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook).
• Must be dependable and able to work independently.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds. (ONLY IF JOB REQUIRES)
• Must be able to bend and twist several times a day.
• Must have the ability to work flexible hours and days.
• Must maintain good client relations.
• Must maintain a professional appearance.
• Must promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment.
• Must have the ability to effectively operate basic shop equipment.
• Must have basic set of hand tools.
• Must have basic engine knowledge.
• Must protect the company assets and interests.

Working Conditions

• Typical hours of work: Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Weekend hours as necessary.
• Outside work as required.
