Position Summary
Position Details
- Directs and supervises assigned service technicians in the overall delivery and financial performance of a book of business - made up of Service Agreements, Quoted Repairs and T&M (Time & Material) Work.
- Clearly communicates work responsibilities and accountabilities and ensures adherence to policies, procedures, and standards.
- Provides technical support and guidance to technicians as needed.
- Aids in service quotes and estimates to support sales and growth initiatives.
- Reviews service tickets and other field paperwork. Assures time is correctly applied and descriptions of work are accurate and appropriate. Addresses and resolves any issues with technicians.
- Collaborates with account managers to discuss and fully understand customer scope of service prior to assuming responsibility for quoted repairs or new maintenance contracts.
- Maintains oversight of work performed to ensure quality of work, cost estimates, and customer expectations are met.
- Makes periodic visits to work sites. Ensures customers are satisfied with work performed.
- Evaluates technician performance and ensures compliance to safety standards.
- Investigates customer complaints to help remedy the situation and promptly implement corrective measures as required. Escalates problem to next level of management when necessary.
- Ensures technicians adhere to all legal, regulatory compliance, safety, and risk management policies and procedures. Promotes safe working behaviors.
- Supports the development of technical skills and knowledge of the technicians. Coordinate with Service Operations Manager to develop technician training curriculum as needed.
- Performs additional assignments as requested/needed.
Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- 5 years of experience performing service maintenance and repair work within the mechanical industry
- OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire)
- Successful completion of a trade/technical training program preferred
- Working knowledge of business/industry practices, processes, and standards
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills and other related business applications
