Service Shop Technician - Sunbelt Supply

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides expertise related to product implementation and continued service.
  • Provides technical solutions and design implementations for products and services.
  • Buils, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies equipment (electric actuators, Pneumatic actuators), parts, components and assemblies.
  • Analyzes and interprets test data.
  • Evaluates performance and reliability of materials.
  • Repairs Customer equipment including disassembly, degrease, replace needed parts and assembles back to OEM specifications.
  • Performs routine analysis and calculation and recommends changes.
  • Diagnostics and reports malfunctions.
  • Learns and understands particular technical equipment; attends training and completes certification as required.
  • Mounts Electric actuators to valves, sets up to allow for valve and component automation, sets limits, torques, while following dimensional and electrical drawings.

Qualifications

  • 2-year technical degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Typical Training/Experience: HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Specialized skills training/certification may be required.

  • Occasionally balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Continually required to talk or hear
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to read technical information and/or use a keyboard
  • Occasionally lift/push/carry items up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
  • Occasionally exposure to outside weather conditions
  • Occasionally exposure to loud noise (examples: shop tool noises, electric motors, moving mechanical equipment)

Work Environment

  • This role operates in a professional office environment with flexibility for hybrid work.
  • Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers are used.
  • Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required.
