Service Sales Leader
About the role
As a Building Services Sales Manager in Columbus, OH, you will function as the market sales leader, leading a team of services sales professionals and support staff. You will develop and maintain long-term customer relationships, maximize account penetration, and ensure customer retention with building owner accounts. This role encompasses all processes and functions required for obtaining inside/outside sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer and area sales management, new customer acquisition, and customer satisfaction measurement.
- Manage price, marketing, account penetration, market penetration, and customer retention.
- Hire and onboard new sales associates, assess skills, and administer necessary training.
- Set sales quotas, ensure accurate sales forecasting, and consistent use of Trane sales tools and systems.
- Achieve annual objectives for profit, volume, margins, business mix, and market share.
- Promote Trane Systems linkage programs, including In-Warranty-Service Agreements and Building Automation Services.
- Assemble and manage high-performance teams, interacting with Account Managers across varying business development requirements.
- Monitor and coach Account Managers on project attainments, customer service, relationship development, and business profitability.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and communicating with customers and the sales team.
- Collaborate with other area and region sales leaders and operations leaders to maximize growth and deliver positive outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business, or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of related experience in a sales leadership role or seven (7) years of professional sales in the HVAC Services industry.
- Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations (e.g., DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving) or multiple smaller infractions/preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
- This is a safety-sensitive role, which may require additional drug screening.
Pay
Annual base salary range: $143,228.33 – $206,885.00. This is a salaried position with incentive eligibility. Compensation is tailored to factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, and travel requirements.
