Starting pay: $18.59, depending on experience. Full-time, non-exempt position located at the Plaza Branch in Casper.
Responsibilities
- Receive, respond to, and assist members visiting the credit union.
- Promote and sell products and services in person.
- Establish, maintain, and close a variety of financial savings accounts within established boundaries.
- Issue debit cards and pre-paid cards.
- Promote UniWyo products and services enthusiastically.
- Ensure adherence to Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing new business by being familiar with all products, services, rates, and parameters.
- Perform member transactions, including deposits, loan payments, withdrawals, cash advances, transfers, check cashing, and check withdrawals.
- Balance assigned teller drawer daily.
- Assist with security and monitoring of cash, money orders, and confidentiality of members’ information.
- Identify potential sales opportunities for referral to the sales team through member relationship management.
- Generate a threshold number of product and service referrals.
- Respond to members’ requests, concerns, problems, and complaints regarding their accounts.
- Communicate and convey information to members accurately and concisely.
- Identify members’ needs and direct them to appropriate departments.
- Perform correspondence-related functions, including compiling information and routing to appropriate departments.
- Prepare, update, and maintain files.
- Enter data into electronic and/or manual recording systems.
- Assist the Branch Manager as required, responding to inquiries in writing, by phone, or in person.
- Assist with training new service representatives.
- Recommend changes to existing policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy and Anti-Money Laundering Acts, monitoring for illegal activity.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of relevant accounting, banking, service, or closely related experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
- Proficiency in word processing and current spreadsheet software.
- Ability to move and/or transport heavy, bulky supplies, materials, or items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- May be exposed to potential physical harm and infectious diseases.
- May be required to work outside the traditional work schedule or stand for extended periods.
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of applicable credit union rules, ordinances, codes, regulations, administrative orders, case law, and governing rules.
- Knowledge of the Credit Union’s policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of principles of file and records management.
- Knowledge of customer service principles.
- Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
- Skill in working within deadlines to complete projects and assignments.
- Skill in assessing, analyzing, identifying, and recommending solutions to problems.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, other UniWyo employees, representatives from other credit unions, and the public.
- Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software and operating systems/applications.
