About the role
We are hiring one position at Level 1 or 2 depending on experience.
Pay
- Service Representative 1 (Non-Exempt, Range 6C): $20.80 – $28.01 per hour
- Service Representative 2 (Non-Exempt, Range 7C): $20.49 – $30.72 per hour
Responsibilities
- Welcome members and accurately process a wide variety of transactions.
- Work within the credit union operating system; balance cash drawer and perform other operations functions accurately and timely.
- Ask members open-ended questions to understand their financial needs; make applicable recommendations and/or referrals to specialists.
- Occasionally work at other branches or departments as assigned.
- Learn, use, understand, and promote all credit union digital delivery channels.
- Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all compliance and regulatory standards, including internal policies.

- Service Representative 2 only: Aid escalated members through CARES principles, knowledge application, and troubleshooting; identify and handle member inquiries, resolve concerns while maintaining satisfaction; complete complex transactions accurately and timely; serve as a resource to newer team members and peers.
Requirements
- Education and/or Experience:
- Service Representative 1: High school diploma or GED plus minimum of 6 months related experience and/or training as a teller/service representative or in customer service with cash handling.
- Service Representative 2: High school diploma or GED plus minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training as a teller/service representative or in customer service with cash handling.
- Preferred: Relevant training in a credit union, bank, or other financial institution.
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred in some markets).
Qualifications
- Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; effectively present information in one-on-one situations to members, potential members, and teammates.
- Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential; involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization regarding routine matters.
- Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate general office machines and equipment (photocopier, fax, computer, currency and coin counter); lift up to 25 lbs; sit or stand for extended periods.
