About the role
Kelly Services is currently seeking a Service Repair Replenishment Planner for one of our top clients in either Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Raynham, MA.
Responsibilities
- Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, and services including indirect consumables, tooling, finished goods, and related materials through the production and inventory process.
- Develops and maintains dashboards, OTIF, PSI and reports that provide clear visibility into inventory status, replenishment actions, and potential gaps in supply impacting our service centers.
- Reviews purchase requisitions for completeness; reviews support documentation, currency, payment terms, alignment of backup documentation to requisition, and clarity of description.
- Creates purchase orders and provides monthly forecasts to suppliers based on production planning requirements.
- Identifies raw material, components, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules.
- Coordinates quality matters and engineering/changes or developments to suppliers.
- Applies various costing and pricing techniques to effectively negotiate the best pricing with suppliers and meet quality, reliability, and delivery objectives.
- Monitors status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication, and mitigation of future potential issues.
- Expedites material delivery or explores other possible options with suppliers to avoid parts stock out.
- Solves issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns, quality issues, and non-conformances with suppliers.
- Supports R&D group for early supplier selection and cost negotiation; initiates new supplier set-up process.
- Produces and develops relevant inventory and procurement reports on a regular basis to track and monitor various areas of performance.
- Collaborates with vendors to conduct physical inventory, report, and resolve potential issues on inventory discrepancy.
- Attends weekly production meeting, tracks inventory, and production status; resolves and escalates issues that can potentially impact supply to our Global Service Depots.
- Conducts bi-weekly meetings with key vendors to ensure that delivery schedules are on-track and resolve supplier-related issues.
- Performs purchase order returns for parts that need to be returned to the vendor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations, or related field; 2+ years of experience in material planning or replenishment roles preferred.
- Prior experience in a regulated environment (i.e. medical device, pharmaceutical) preferred.
- Experience with production planning, material requirements planning, BOM management, NPI / EOL, re-order point, and other replenishment planning methodologies.
- Ability to work with a diversified global supplier base and high-mix production environment.
- Self-driven individual capable of working independently as well as a strong team player collaborating with cross-functional teams; build relationships at all levels within the internal organization and external suppliers/vendors.
- Strong capabilities to develop and balance immediate/long-term priorities with appropriate urgency to meet deadlines and exceptional multi-tasking skills.
- Experience working with, managing, and implementing ERP/MRP systems, SAP & JDE XE strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience with advanced planning tools, demand forecasting, or supply chain analytics (Power BI, SQL, Tableau preferred).
