About the role
Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. Loyola Medicine Transport is based at Loyola University Medical Center and is part of a three-hospital system including Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Greets patients and family members in a consistent and friendly manner
- Obtains, and verifies demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information during the (pre)-registration process
- Accepts point of service payments or provides guidance for payment options
- Clears the patient for service delivery
- Verifies and updates patient identification, demographic information, and insurance coverage
- Accepts point of service payments
- Balances cash drawer at the end of every shift
- Enters patient information accurately into appropriate hospital information system(s)
- Refers patients with questions regarding financial liability to appropriate resource(s)
- Accepts medical authorization or referral forms, if appropriate scans clinical information, Missed Appointment Policy, and other documents into Epic as appropriate
- Initiates Enrollment process for myLoyola
- Identifies systemic issues and escalates to Lead Service Representative for resolution
Requirements
- High School Diploma; associate degree preferred

Pay Range: $18 - $24.44 per hour
Schedule
Days M-F 6:00A-3:00P, rotating Saturday 6:00A-12:00P
