We made history and now we work to transform the future—for our customers, our communities, and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.

The Ford Motor Credit Company team helps put people behind the wheels of great Ford and Lincoln vehicles. By partnering with dealerships, we provide financing, personalized service, and professional expertise to thousands of dealers and millions of customers in over one hundred countries around the world. The Ford Motor Credit Company (“Ford Credit”) has received regulatory conditional approval to form Ford Credit Bank ("the Bank") to be headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Bank will create innovative and simplified banking solutions to help customers across the country finance the purchase of new Ford vehicles, parts, accessories, EV infrastructure, and software, and will accept deposits with competitive rates on FDIC-insured savings accounts and certificates of deposit. The Bank will be a direct and wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Credit, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company (“Ford”).

The people of Ford Credit have a 60-year commitment to helping put people behind the wheels of great Ford and Lincoln vehicles. By partnering with dealerships, we provide financing, personalized service, and professional expertise to five thousand dealers and more than four million customers in over 100 countries around the world. The proposed Bank will be a strategic addition to Ford Credit and is key to providing the capabilities needed to meet the financing expectations of Ford customers.

About the role

As the Service Provider Oversight Lead, you will support the ongoing management of risks associated with the bank’s third-party ecosystem, including services provided by an affiliate. Unlike a policy-setting or audit role, this is an operational, "hands-on" position within the First Line of Defense. You will assist in the day-to-day execution of the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework, helping ensure external partnerships—from fintech collaborators to critical IT infrastructure providers—operate within the bank’s risk appetite and remain in compliance with federal regulations (OCC, Federal Reserve, FDIC). The position will work closely with Ford Credit’s Vendor Management to align and collaborate on process, while conducting oversight of Ford Credit as a Service Provider.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Risk Lifecycle: Help identify, assess, and support mitigation of risks across the vendor lifecycle, contributing to the bank’s "boots on the ground" oversight to help ensure it is as rigorous as its internal controls.
  • Conduct Due Diligence: Perform pre-contract due diligence tasks. Evaluate a provider’s financial health, operational resilience, and cybersecurity posture to help determine fitness for the bank’s requirements.
  • Support Contractual Integrity: Work with Legal and Procurement to help draft and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Ensure that "Right to Audit" and "Step-in Rights" are documented as actionable tools.
  • Monitor Performance: Support a continuous monitoring program by tracking and analyzing performance data and SOC reports to help identify "weak signals" of vendor distress or non-compliance before they escalate into systemic issues.
  • Support Incident Response: Serve as a point of contact for third-party service disruptions or data breaches. Support the operational response, helping ensure timely remediation and clear communication to the Second Line (Risk/Compliance) and leadership.
  • Support Business and Risk Alignment: Work with internal business unit leaders to help them achieve their goals through third parties while helping maintain disciplined risk posture.
  • Support Regulatory Readiness: Help maintain an "always-audit-ready" environment. Assist with operational queries during regulatory examinations, helping document how the bank manages its third-party exposures on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), Vendor Management, or Operational Risk within a bank.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Experience working with regulators and a strong, working knowledge of banking regulations and guidance regarding third-party oversight and vendor management.
  • 1LoD Knowledge: Experience operating within a First Line of Defense capacity, with a track record of performing oversight or audit functions.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data, financial statements, and SOC 1/SOC 2 reports to assess the viability and security of service providers.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in a high-pressure, regulated environment.

Benefits

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care, and more.
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more.
  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases.
  • Tuition assistance.
  • Established and active employee resource groups.
  • Paid time off for individual and team community service.
  • A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
  • Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.

Pay

This position is banded and ranges from salary grade 6 ($74,300–$124,500) to salary grade 8 ($99,100–$166,200). Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility, and competitive market value.

Schedule

This position is hybrid with a requirement to be onsite four or more days per week.
