Service Plumber

Description

The Service Plumber role at RK Industries is ideal for a hands-on professional with expertise in diagnosing and repairing plumbing and hydronic systems. Key responsibilities include running maintenance, starting up equipment, conducting quality checks, troubleshooting complex issues, and mentoring technicians.

Role Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair plumbing and hydronic piping, water heaters, boilers, and pumps.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Complete equipment start-ups.
• Conduct quality control inspections.
• Identify and apply effective solutions to technical issues.

Qualifications

• Guide field staff in completing specialized forms and providing necessary paperwork.
• Assist in owner training as needed.
• Daily coordination with the Customer Services department.
• Make timely service-related decisions in the best interest of the company.
• Follow up on callbacks and job completions.
• Call for inspections when necessary, meet with inspectors, and ensure compliance.
• Train RK Mechanical Service technicians.
• Assist in pricing with Account Managers or Service Writers as required.
• Develop lead referrals for the Sales Department or Service Writer.
• Guide field staff in executing tasks as requested.

Minimum Physical Requirements

• Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy, and hazardous areas.
• Work in high places, tight spaces, confined spaces, and adverse conditions.
• Climb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouch.
• Work in all types of weather.
• Have a working knowledge of trade materials and tools.
• Be able to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 lbs. frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 lbs. constantly.
