About the role

Holiday Beach Companies in Panama City Beach, FL is looking to hire a full-time Service Plumber. This position offers a competitive wage of $22 - $30 (based on experience) and provides great benefits including health, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, paid time off (PTO), and paid holidays after 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Service and repair all plumbing systems, including water closets, urinals, sinks, faucets, drinking fountains, and associated piping.
  • Interface with Contractors and Code Enforcement Agencies.
  • Service all infrastructure, including sanitary lines, grease lines, oil lines, grease traps, lift stations, and interceptors.
  • Operate large cable commercial sewer machines and high-pressure line jetting equipment.
  • Service all potable water systems, including water softeners, water heaters, potable backflow preventers, circulating pumps, tempering valves, mixing valves, high pressure lines, nozzles, and pumps.
  • Service all natural gas systems, including above ground and below ground pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Install water, sewer lines, and gas.
  • Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials in residential buildings.
  • Install pipes and fixtures in residential buildings, adhering to all guidelines.
  • Assemble fittings and valves for installation and modify pipe lengths.
  • Collaborate with other construction workers, contractors, and other departments.
  • Maintain good working order of Company vehicle, including refueling and servicing as necessary, reporting mechanical issues, and keeping the vehicle stocked.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work area.
  • Maintain safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school degree or GED is required.
  • Technical school is preferred.
  • 5+ years in industrial and commercial construction, maintenance facility, or a fast-paced service company dedicated to plumbing repair.
  • 1+ year in lift stations preferred.
  • Experience in residential plumbing systems.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Team player.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledgeable or willing to learn new skills and technology.
  • Experience in residential and light commercial plumbing codes.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Able to communicate professionally.
  • Able to collaborate well with coworkers and others as needed.
  • Able to work in confined spaces (attic, under houses, etc.).
  • Able to safely work at heights as required to perform job duties, including using ladders, accessing rooftops, elevated mechanical equipment, balconies, exterior staircases, and upper-level units in short-term rental properties.
  • Able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and elevated platforms as part of routine service and retro plumbing work.
  • Good physical fitness: hand-eye coordination and ability to quickly respond to sounds.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors, including outdoors in time of excessive heat and inclement weather.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Able to climb ladders, stairs, and work from elevated surfaces as part of daily job duties.
  • Able to maintain balance and stability while performing work at heights in residential and commercial environments.
  • Able to lift and carry tools and materials while navigating elevated access points.
  • Lift and carry material weighing up to 75 lbs.; occasionally lifting items weighing more than 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Able to place pipes down with precision and accuracy.
  • Good physical fitness: hand-eye coordination and ability to quickly respond to sounds.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors, including outdoors in time of excessive heat and inclement weather.
