About the role
The SP Warehouse Supervisor oversees outbound order fulfillment and accessories for customers, focusing on safety and cost control. This role requires strong floor leadership, team-building, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Frequent interaction with site leadership, Customer Success, and other functional areas including manufacturing and quality.
- Ensures the service parts team operates with a "safety first" mindset and meets operational and service metrics.
- Develops and implements work schedules to maintain effective and efficient operations.
- Captures and coordinates inbound and outbound workflows to leverage resources and equipment.
- Provides continuous floor leadership and maintains formal and informal communication to energize the operation, promote teamwork, and drive results.
- Responds to and resolves employee relations issues.
- Promotes a high-quality work environment to motivate team members to perform at their highest level.
- Addresses disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policy.
- Partners with the Materials Control Manager to drive continuous improvement projects.
- Supports Planning, Purchasing, and New Parts Introduction teams for robust part changes and disposition of excess/obsolete materials.
- Maintains inventory adjustments, confirms transactions, backs up corrections, and executes business applications to avoid downtimes.
- Analyzes data to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure accurate order shipping on time.
- Supervises truck scheduling and ensures timely pick-ups.
- Maintains the warehouse in an inventory and audit-ready condition, ensuring adherence to handling and storage standards.
- Trains, develops, and mentors direct reports, conducts job breakdowns, and oversees cross-training programs.
- Coaches and develops functional area team leads, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and fosters a Lean culture.
- Supports Quality Management System and corporate training & development programs with proper document control and employee training.
- Collaborates with ClimateMaster management to address complaints and supports the company's safety (behavior-based) program.
Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of warehouse experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills with familiarity of AS400 software.
- Forklift certification.
