Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor at Cencora is responsible for hiring, terminating, directing, and performing associates within the warehouse. They oversee various functions including receiving, shipping, returns, picking, packing, checking, stocking, order filling, returns, and managing the cage/vault. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and DEA regulations, coaching employees, and maintaining detailed records.

Responsibilities

• Hiring, terminating, and directing warehouse associates
• Overseeing the workflow and monitoring performance
• Motivating and training warehouse associates
• Maintaining records of the delivery process and order-filling process
• Ensuring the quality of packing and protection of breakable items
• Maintaining detailed records of incoming and outgoing controlled substances
• Tracking attendance and managing overtime for associates
• Overseeing the receipt of merchandise and ensuring only intended products are accepted
• Counting, weighing, and identifying items being shipped
• Filling orders and double-checking shipments, especially those involving controlled substances
• Maintaining manifests and ensuring timely delivery of merchandise
• Interacting with customers to resolve delivery or order filling issues
• Managing the cage/vault area, including verifying and recording outgoing shipments of controlled substances

Requirements

Requires a minimum of two (2) years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in warehouse operations. Broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or similar vocations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Good analytical and decision-making skills.
• Good interpersonal and leadership/coaching skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively as a leader, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of computers to operate effectively with software like Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Proficiency to operate a reach truck.
