Service & Parts Cashier

About the Role

Healey Brothers, Hudson Valley's largest automotive brand, with over 45 years of service, is seeking an experienced, positive, and energetic automotive Cashier to join our service department team. This part-time, hourly position is located on-site at our WS Healey Chevrolet dealership in New Hampton, NY, with a schedule typically consisting of an 8-hour daytime shift on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers at the cashier window, answering questions, and providing information on procedures or policies
• Computing and recording transaction totals
• Counting money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts and reconciling the cash drawer at the end of the shift
• Establishing or identifying prices of parts or services and tabulating bills using calculators, cash registers, or computers
• Issuing receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
• Compiling and maintaining non-monetary reports and records
• Assisting the service department with administrative duties

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be 18+ years of age

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with customers and team members
• Ability to follow instructions from the department manager
• Dealership knowledge and an interest in the automotive industry is a plus
