Under the direction of the Supervisor I over the Service Order Unit, the Analyst II will act as a lead contract specialist for the department and perform all duties associated with the procurement of non-IT services and IT services related to disaster response, recovery, and grants management. This position requires a high degree of independence in performing the most complex duties, utilizing creativity and ingenuity in processing procurement requests.
Responsibilities
- Lead Service Orders Analyst
- Provide FI$Cal support by guiding and troubleshooting issues for Cal OES staff
- Assist in the development of procurement policy and procedures

Working Conditions
- Hybrid Telework: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Additional in-office days may be required based on business need.
- Conflict of Interest (COI): This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code and requires completion of Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply may void the appointment.
- In the event of an emergency, employees may be contacted outside normal working hours (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) and requested to report to work. This may include irregular work hours, alternative work locations, or duties beyond those specified in the official position description.
- Extensive travel may be required in support of emergency operations, with little advance notice, potentially lasting weeks to months. Relocation to emergency sites may be necessary.
