Service Operator I

About the role

Follow all PCB procedures and forms in compliance with ISO 9001. Perform basic tasks in the etching or laser welding of transducers as part of a team focused on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate as a team member to serve customer needs.
• Follow proper ESD procedures as outlined in the ESD manual.
• Comply with all aspects of the ISO 9001 standard.
• Refer to travelers, engineering travelers, special instructions, and forms for procedures to perform laser markings or welds.
• Operate department equipment such as laser etcher (Rofin), laser welder (ILT, JK-Lumonics), gross leak tester, and glove boxes (ILT Glove Box).
• Verify conformance of finished work to company specifications.
• Inspect laser welds using a microscope for stress, holes, cracks, and appearance to ensure compliance and quality.
• Perform leak tests and connector weld strength verification tests on laser welds when required.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalent.
• Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Good hand/eye coordination and hand dexterity.
• Color perception.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

This position requires access to “controlled technology” as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730 et. seq.) and “technical data” as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (22 C.F.R, Chapter 1, Subchapter M).
