Leading North America’s Service operations for Valmet’s Tissue Business Line (TM SER). This role manages Tissue Services—Mill Site Services, Roll Services, Spare Parts, and Capital Aftermarket—aligning with the global TM SER strategy. The primary objective is to grow TM SER Service sales in the region while meeting profitability and customer-satisfaction targets.
Responsibilities
- Manages and develops tissue services for customers in North America.
- Formulates and executes the business plan for Tissue Services in North America.
- Responsible for the Sales and Gross Profit of Tissue Services in North America, including direct oversight of TM SER service functions and shared regional activities.
- Leads sales and execution of TM SER service products delivered directly to mills.
- Coordinates and executes all Yankee Services.
- Provides sales support for mill maintenance audits, studies, and Tissue Service Agreements in the region.
- Supports execution of installation projects for TM SER-delivered equipment and components.
- Identifies development opportunities and plans to consolidate and grow Tissue Services in North America.
- Coordinates customer and business aspects of Tissue Services performed by other Valmet shared resources in North America.
- Manages field erection supervision resources for TM SER projects in the region.
- Participates in setting annual targets for Regional Sales Managers and attends bi-weekly sales meetings.
- Provides resources and planning for technical sales support for Tissue services.
- Directs and oversees the Service Sales team leader.
- Assists the TM SER sales organization in closing orders for TM SER services and capital projects.
- Acts as the North American representative on the Global Tissue Services management team.
- Shares and transfers product knowledge of Tissue Services activities to the region.
- Serves as a member of the TM SER North America Management Team.
- Promotes Valmet products and services at customer locations.
- Travels domestically and internationally up to 50%, at times with little advance notice.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in a related engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent technical work experience in the tissue industry.
- Eight years of experience in a related technical field, including sales experience with direct customer contact, experience in the tissue or paper industry, and exposure to foreign markets, customers, and business practices.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel with little or no prior notification.
- Must be living and authorized to work in the U.S.
