Job Summary

The Service Manager oversees the bike department repair shop at Specialized. Key responsibilities include maximizing departmental profitability, leading the service team, managing workflow, assisting with general store tasks, and contributing to the Specialized R&D team.

How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Cover and exceed departmental run costs
  • Lead the service team in all bicycle and store service functions
  • Oversee and assign workload to ensure efficient flow and 24-hour turn-around
  • Manage repair workflow, including intake, job prioritization, service part order management, and rider communication
  • Aid in general store tasks such as opening/closing, resolving customer service/POS issues, and participating in community/marketing events
  • Maintain sell-through on service-specific parts and accessories, establish a "never-out" list, and oversee warranty issues
  • Contribute to the Specialized R&D team by closing the feedback loop and providing insights from both the technician's perspective and rider feedback

What You Need to Win

  • Passion for cycling and the Specialized brand
  • Current or former retail employee with 1+ years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with riders and team members
  • Ability to work weekends and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. or more using proper lifting skills
