Service Manager (Pump, Power & HVAC)

About the role

At EquipmentShare, we’re hiring a Service Manager at our Advanced Solutions rental facility in Baton Rouge, LA. This position will lead a team of Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technicians (Mechanics) and is responsible for creating, assigning, and monitoring work orders, tracking machine service intervals, ordering parts, and diagnosing issues.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create, assign, and monitor work orders
• Track machine service intervals
• Order parts
• Diagnose issues using real-time data from hundreds of makes and models
• Coordinate and supervise quality performance of mechanics and service personnel
• Schedule repairs for customer and company-owned rental equipment
• Maintain and nurture existing customer relationships
• Promptly respond to and resolve customer inquiries, requests, complaints, or other communications
• Train and develop employees
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• Industry knowledge (rental industry or related construction field)

• Three years of maintenance and service experience

Physical Requirements

• Able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
