Service Manager, Preventative Maintenance (U.S.)
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of PM standards, task lists, schedules, and documentation
- Define PM scopes, frequencies, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure PM execution aligns with equipment design limits and warranty requirements
- Develop and manage tiered PM offerings and renewal strategies
- Track PM compliance, findings, and required follow-up actions
- Lead U.S. PM teams and approved service partners
- Enforce Thermal Works safety, conduct, and quality standards
- Ensure consistent documentation, reporting, and close-out
- Drive continuous improvement using field data and trend analysis
- Support the hiring, training, and development of service personnel
- Ensure all service requests are handled in a timely manner based on needs
- Provide operational oversight for service call workflows, ensuring timely triage, dispatch coordination, and resolution aligned with SLA expectations
- Establish standards for service call documentation, root cause capture, and corrective action tracking to improve equipment reliability and knowledge sharing
- Partner with field teams and service partners to optimize response readiness, parts availability, and escalation pathways for complex service events
- Coordinate with corrective maintenance teams when deficiencies are identified during PMs
- Ensure PM records support warranty compliance and claim defense
- Identify early failure trends and escalate issues to Engineering
- Analyze service call trends to identify recurring issues, drive preventative actions, and inform updates to PM scopes and reliability strategies
- Own U.S. PM KPIs, including:
- Contract fulfillment
- SLA compliance
- Repeat deficiency reduction
- Customer satisfaction
- Provide regular performance reporting to Director of Service
Education and Experience
- 8+ years management experience
- 5+ years technical, data center cooling/HVAC experience
- Proven experience building and scaling preventive maintenance programs
- Demonstrated leadership of distributed field teams
Specific Skills / Abilities
- Strong understanding of chillers, CDUs, hydronic systems, and controls
