Service Manager

About the role

The Service Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is responsible for inspiring and motivating a team to provide superior service, leading front-end operations, and overseeing the store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Positively shape the culture in the store by modeling leadership behaviors aligned with Sprouts values.
• Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring team members provide superior customer service.
• Assist customers and listen to and resolve complaints.
• Communicate standards, expectations, and policy changes to the team.
• Organize hiring events, manage team member concerns, and facilitate career development.
• Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling, training, and performance appraisals.
• Ensure proper signage and merchandise management.
• Address emergencies and resolve issues.
• Communicate sales promotion information to the team.
• Help verify accurate labeling and pricing.
• Manage temperature and cleanliness of the store.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated success in leading total building operations with integrity, including profit and loss, safety, sanitation, staffing, disciplinary actions, training, developing leaders, conducting performance appraisals, meeting deadlines, managing inventory and shrink, executing sales promotions, and merchandising.
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with attention to detail, analytical, and solution-focused decisiveness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and human resources software.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that changes based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to lift 60 pounds between 15 inches and 70 inches above the ground, lifting heavier items occasionally.
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces continuously, walk up to 2 miles, reach vertically to access upper levels, and transfer items horizontally.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) consistent with the task assignment.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $36.00 / hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.

Schedule

This role requires flexibility to work a schedule that changes based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
