Service Engineer - Florida

About the role

Service Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in light applied equipment (ART, ACC, Light WCC, Splits). This role involves maintaining effective communication and frequent contact with key customers and field team members, performing highly complex diagnostic procedures, and preparing reports for senior leadership. You will communicate technical information to key stakeholders and keep customers and field teams updated on outstanding issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintains effective communications with key customers and field team members to ensure product enhancements/improvements are complete and accurate.
• Maintains frequent contact with key customers, requiring a high degree of tact and courtesy.
• Acts as the expert in product knowledge and subject matter.
• Performs highly complex diagnostic procedures.
• Prepares reports for senior leadership displaying interpreted test information to resolve design/system-related problems and ensure continuous improvement.
• Communicates technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Ensures key customers and field teams are kept informed on outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience on light applied equipment (Applied Rooftop Units, Air Cooled Chillers, Water Cooled Chillers, Split Systems).
• 1+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Clean and valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or building HVAC (preferred).
• Ability to lead and motivate teams (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and management skills (preferred).
• Ability to read and understand the scope of work (preferred).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (preferred).
• Experience in dealing with simultaneous challenges requiring knowledge of many different disciplines (preferred).
• A true team player with the customer’s best interests as a priority (preferred).

Pay

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 and $158,000.00. Factors affecting pay within this range include skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may also be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
