Service Drive and Shop Attendent

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival.
  • Assist with directing vehicles into the service drive.
  • Ensure customers are immediately connected with the appropriate service advisor.
  • Help manage service drive traffic flow during busy periods.
  • Verify vehicles are properly parked and staged for service.
  • Aid in customer transportation needs, including loaner and shuttle coordination.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service drive, customer lounge, and advisor workstations.
  • Monitor coffee station, refreshments, and customer amenities throughout the day.
  • Assist with customer vehicle deliveries and service pick-ups.
  • Wash or perform final touch-ups on serviced vehicles when necessary.

Shop Support Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, technician work areas, and common spaces.
  • Empty trash and recycling throughout the service department.
  • Assist technicians with moving vehicles and staging repair orders.
  • Monitor shop supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
  • Help receive and organize parts deliveries.
  • Keep parking lots, service lanes, and vehicle storage areas orderly.
  • Auxiliary in internal vehicle movement between departments.
  • Perform basic facility inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Ensure shop safety standards are followed.

Loaner & Rental Fleet Support

  • Prepare loaner vehicles for customer use.
  • Fuel, clean, and inspect loaner vehicles.
  • Verify loaner vehicles are properly staged and ready for the next customer.
  • Aid in tracking vehicle availability and fleet organization.
  • Report vehicle damage or maintenance concerns immediately.

Customer Experience Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming and professional experience for every customer.
  • Offer assistance proactively rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Address basic customer questions and direct concerns to management when necessary.
  • Support dealership CSI, KSI, and customer retention efforts.
  • Represent Crain Kia of Fayetteville with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods.

Success Measures

  • Ensure every customer is greeted within 30 seconds of arrival.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service drive and shop environment.
  • Support efficient vehicle flow throughout the service process.
  • Keep loaner vehicles ready and available for customer use.
  • Contribute to improved customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Demonstrate reliability, urgency, and a positive attitude every day.
