About the Role
The Service Desk Technician is responsible for providing quality and timely technical support to bank staff. This position assists the broader IT team with daily systems checks, ticket and patch management, on-call support, inventory tracking, and systems imaging.
Responsibilities
- Execute operational activities of the IT department and support the strategic direction and design of technology, infrastructure, software, and communications systems.
- Administer Microsoft systems, including cloud-based systems, Active Directory, Office365, Azure, and Mobile MDM.
- Provide help desk support, including ticket management, and serve as the primary resource for desktop and application software support.
- Lead technicians for daily systems checklists and administer and maintain systems imaging.
- Provide on-call support and manage the new hire and departure process.
- Manage all inventory tracking related to desktops and support audio/video conferencing.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including situational tasks outside the job description to support organizational efficiency.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Help Desk or Customer Service role.
- Networking certifications such as A+, MCP, or Network+ preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and outstanding problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a solution-oriented approach.
Work is primarily conducted in an office setting, though some positions may allow for remote work at management discretion. The role may require extended periods of stationary work, use of hands and fingers, visual acuity for computer monitors, operation of office machinery, and clear verbal or written communication.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $70,000 (entry-level qualifications) to $77,000 (highly experienced), depending on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
