About the role
This position is responsible for providing a large, diversified clientele with outstanding customer service by performing the day-to-day administrative, cafe and reception functions of a large exercise facility while successfully administering all service desk operations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to existing members and guests ensuring retention and growth.
- Communicate Wellness Center information, in person or by phone, quickly and effectively.
- Provide current & accurate information to members, guests and teammates to ensure superior service.
- Maintain a "friendly and quick entry" focus at the service desk for bringing members into the club.
- Perform cafe operations including smoothie prep and cleaning of cafe.
- Enforce all Wellness Center policies.
- Process proshop and cafe sales.
- Answer answering multiline phone system.
- Ensure that delinquent members are not gaining access to the club.
- Perform cash-outs at end of shifts.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is no longer required for this position.
- BLS/AED certification preferred.
- Ability to "reach out and welcome" people as they enter the club.
- Warm, professional telephone personality.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good math skills.
- Must be skilled in multi-tasking.
- Operations of cafe appliances and prep areas.
- Patient.
Qualifications
- Infrequent lifting (below 50 lbs.).
- Constant standing.
- Sitting at a desk for administrative tasks.
- Using a computer for member check-ins.
- Using a telephone.
- Food preparations in Smoothie Well.

- Ability to create a positive and productive environment for all members, guests, and teammates.
