About the role

EY is the only professional services firm with a separate business unit ("FSO") dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Our FSO teams have been at the forefront of reshaping and redefining the financial services industry. We help our clients transform their businesses through disruptive innovation and transformational design solutions. The FSO Technology Analyst position involves working in a Service Delivery Center with US-based colleagues who work closely with experienced advisory professionals. You will be part of a project team responsible for designing, building, integrating, testing, analyzing, delivering, and supporting technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients in transforming their business problems through engineering solutions.
  • Assist engagement teams through the analysis of specific business requirements, design, development, integration, and testing.
  • Deliver high-quality systems with a focus on reliability and excellent customer experience.
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.

Requirements

  • Prior fullstack software product development experience with a preference for understanding DevOps and its supporting services and tools.
  • Proven experience in agile methodologies, including requirements definition, engineering design, development, integration, and testing.
  • Hands-on technical capabilities in multiple programming languages.
  • Effective collaboration with client engagement teams, fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment.
  • Understanding of current technology environments and industry trends, and ability to provide recommendations for engagement and client service issues.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in technology software development.
  • Back-end experience using modern technologies like Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, Microservices, Serverless, and Cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.
  • Front-end development with modern frameworks and practices like React, Angular, or responsive web design.
  • Experience in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with cloud native/Microservices architecture, including IaaS, PaaS, and container deployment.
  • Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Experience with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing, including TDD or BDD software development techniques.
  • Comfortable working in an Agile and TDD environment.

Skills and Attributes

  • Experience with Akka/Scala, Kafka/RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Hadoop/Spark/Flume, MongoDB/Cassandra, or any NoSQL database.

Benefits

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including a base salary range of $55,400 to $113,000 in the US, and $66,600 to $128,500 in the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento). Individual salaries are determined based on various factors including education, experience, and location.

Pay

The base salary range for this role in the US is $55,400 to $113,000. In the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $66,600 to $128,500.

Schedule

We expect most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year. We also offer a flexible vacation policy where you decide how much vacation time you need based on your personal circumstances. Additionally, you'll be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your well-being.
