About the role

EY is the only professional services firm with a separate business unit ("FSO") dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Our FSO teams have been at the forefront of reshaping and redefining the financial services industry. Responsibilities

  • Support engagement teams through the analysis of specific business requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of distributed software applications.
  • Deliver high-quality systems with a focus on reliability and excellent customer experience.
  • Collaborate with client engagement teams to foster an innovative and inclusive work environment.
  • Work with clients to transform their business problems through engineering solutions.
  • Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs.
  • Build applications/platforms with cloud native/Microservices architecture.
  • Work with modern collaborative development tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Use testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing.
  • Have hands-on experience with Akka/Scala, Kafka/RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Hadoop/Spark/Flume, MongoDB/Cassandra, and other NoSQL databases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in technology software development.
  • Back-end experience using modern technologies like Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, Microservices, Serverless, and Cloud technologies like AWS, or Azure.
  • Front-end development with modern frameworks and practices like React, Angular, or Responsive web design.
  • Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Knowledge of TDD or BDD software development techniques.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Intellectually curious and passionate about finding new and innovative ways to make things better.
  • Able to work independently and quickly learn new technologies.
  • Strong background in computer science from both theoretical and practical points of view.

Skills

  • Fullstack software product development experience with a preference for understanding DevOps and its supporting services and tools.
  • Proven agile methodology experience in delivering engineering solutions through all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, engineering design, development, integration, and testing.
  • Hands-on technical capabilities in multiple programming languages.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with client engagement teams.
  • Understanding of current technology environment and industry trends.

Benefits

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this role in the US is $55,400 to $113,000. In the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $66,600 to $128,500. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension, and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Pay

The base salary range for this role in the US is $55,400 to $113,000. In the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $66,600 to $128,500. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Schedule

Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You'll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
