Service Delivery Center-Java Developer: Financial Services---Analyst---Raleigh, Dallas, San Antonio

About the role

EY is the only professional services firm with a separate business unit (“FSO”) dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Our FSO teams have been at the forefront of reshaping and redefining the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

• Support engagement teams through the analysis of specific business requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of distributed software applications.
• Deliver high-quality systems with a focus on reliability and excellent customer experience.
• Collaborate with client engagement teams to transform business problems through engineering solutions.
• Work as part of a project team to design, build/configure, test, analyze, deliver, and support technology solutions.
• Manage changing priorities and learn new and rapidly changing technology solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist in the modernization of systems, processes, and products to enhance business and customer-facing platforms and services.
• Enable end-to-end automation through the use of microservices, cloud, omnichannel integration, API management, and open-source technologies.

Requirements

• Prior full-stack software product development experience with a preference for understanding DevOps and its supporting services and tools.
• Proven experience in agile methodologies, including requirements definition, engineering design, development, integration, and testing.
• Hands-on technical capabilities in multiple programming languages, including Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, Microservices, Serverless, and cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.
• Experience in front-end development with modern frameworks and practices like React, Angular, or responsive web design.
• Experience building applications/platforms with cloud-native/Microservices architecture, including experience with IaaS, PaaS, container deployment.
• Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing, including knowledge of TDD or BDD software development techniques.
• Comfortable working in an Agile and TDD environment.
• Experience with Akka/Scala, Kafka/RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Hadoop/Spark/Flume, MongoDB/Cassandra/any NoSQL DB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in technology software development.
• Back-end experience using modern technologies like Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, Microservices, Serverless, and cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.
• Front-end development with modern frameworks and practices like React, Angular, or responsive web design.
• Experience in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing, including knowledge of TDD or BDD software development techniques.
• Comfortable working in an Agile and TDD environment.
• Experience with Akka/Scala, Kafka/RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Hadoop/Spark/Flume, MongoDB/Cassandra/any NoSQL DB.
