Responsibilities
- Support engagement teams through the analysis of specific business requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of distributed software applications.
- Deliver high-quality systems with a focus on reliability and excellent customer experience.
- Collaborate with client engagement teams to foster an innovative and inclusive work environment.
- Work with clients to transform their business problems through engineering solutions.
- Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs.
- Build applications/platforms with cloud native/Microservices architecture, including experience with IaaS, PaaS, and container deployment.
- Use modern collaborative development tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).
- Implement testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing, including knowledge of TDD or BDD software development techniques.
- Work in an Agile and TDD environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in technology software development.
- Back-end experience using modern technologies like Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, Microservices, Serverless, and Cloud technologies like AWS, or Azure.
- Front-end development with modern frameworks and practices like React, Angular, or Responsive web design.
- Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience working with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing and knowledge of TDD or BDD software development techniques.
- Comfortable working in an Agile and TDD environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with Akka/Scala, Kafka/RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Hadoop/Spark/Flume, MongoDB/Cassandra/Any NoSQL DB.
Skills
- Prior fullstack software product development experience with a preferred understanding of DevOps and its supporting services and tools.
- Proven agile methodology experience in delivering engineering solutions through all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, engineering design, development, integration, and testing.
- In-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
Benefits
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including a base salary range of $55,400 to $113,000 in all geographic locations in the US, and $66,600 to $128,500 in the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento). Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension, and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
Pay
The base salary range for this role in all geographic locations in the US is $55,400 to $113,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $66,600 to $128,500.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You'll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
