Service Delivery Center-Java Developer: Financial Services---Analyst---Raleigh, Dallas, San Antonio

About the role

EY is the only professional services firm with a separate business unit ("FSO") dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Our FSO teams have been at the forefront of reshaping and redefining the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

• Support engagement teams through the analysis of specific business requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of distributed software applications.
• Deliver high-quality systems with a focus on reliability and excellent customer experience.
• Collaborate with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds to foster an innovative and inclusive work environment.
• Provide recommendations for engagement and client service issues based on current technology environment and industry trends.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in technology software development.
• Back-end experience using modern technologies like Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, Microservices, Serverless, and Cloud technologies like AWS, or Azure.
• Front-end development with modern frameworks and practices like React, Angular, or Responsive web design.
• Experience in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with cloud native/Microservices architecture, including experience with IaaS, PaaS, container deployment.
• Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g. Git, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience working with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing and knowledge of TDD or BDD software development techniques.
• Comfortable working in an Agile and TDD environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Akka/Scala, Kafka/RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Hadoop/Spark/Flume, MongoDB/Cassandra/Any NoSQL DB.

Skills and Attributes

• Prior fullstack software product development experience with a preferred understanding of DevOps and its supporting services and tools.
• Proven agile methodology in delivering engineering solutions through all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, engineering design, development, integration, and testing.
• Demonstrated hands-on technical capabilities in multiple programming languages.
• Effectively work with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds to foster an innovative and inclusive work environment.
• Strong background in computer science from both theoretical and practical points of view.
• Self-starter and quick learner with a willingness to adapt to new and innovative ways to make things better.
