About the role
EY is the only professional services firm with a separate business unit (“FSO”) dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Our FSO teams have been at the forefront of reshaping and redefining the financial services industry.
Responsibilities
- Support engagement teams through the analysis of specific business requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of distributed software applications.
- Deliver high-quality systems with a focus on reliability and excellent customer experience.
- Collaborate with client engagement teams to foster an innovative and inclusive work environment.
- Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs.
- Work with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing, including TDD or BDD techniques.
- Work in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in technology software development.
- Back-end experience using modern technologies like Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, Microservices, Serverless, and Cloud technologies like AWS, or Azure.
- Front-end development with modern frameworks and practices like React, Angular, or Responsive web design.
- Experience in designing, building, and deploying applications/platforms with cloud native/Microservices architecture.
- Experience with IaaS, PaaS, container deployment.
- Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g. Git, CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing.
Qualifications
- Fullstack software product development experience with a preference for understanding DevOps and its supporting services and tools.
- Proven agile methodology experience in delivering engineering solutions through all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, engineering design, development, integration, and testing.
- Hands-on technical capabilities in multiple programming languages.
- Understanding of current technology environment and industry trends and ability to provide recommendations for engagement and client service issues.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Skills and Attributes
- Experience with Akka/Scala, Kafka/RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Hadoop/Spark/Flume, MongoDB/Cassandra/NoSQL databases.
- Comfortable working in an Agile and TDD environment.
Benefits
Base salary range for this role in the US is $55,400 to $113,000. For New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $66,600 to $128,500. Individual salaries are determined based on various factors including education, experience, and location.

Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year.
