Service Counter Technician

Responsibilities

• Assemble and repair pneumatic and hydraulic hose products accurately and safely.
• Serve walk-in customers promptly and professionally.
• Absorb and communicate the products and services offered.
• Determine customer needs and suggest alternatives and/or additional items related to the customer's order.
• Support other service functions during peak demand.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping all retail areas, warehouses, and workstations neat and orderly.
• Follow all proper safety procedures to ensure the safety of both employees and customers, and exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment.
• Always present a professional image to vendors, customers, and associates.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in service or hose and fittings counter for industrial equipment
• Mechanical knowledge and background
• Able to learn and communicate the products and services offered.
• Energetic self-starter willing to work hard with proven ability to consistently show up for work on time
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills and knowledge of measurements and their conversion equivalents
• Basic computer skills
• TIG Welding experience is a plus
• Steel/Stainless tube bending/flaring ability
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move a minimum of 50lbs.
