About the role

MSS is hiring a Service Coordinator in Apple Valley, Dakota County. The role is ideal for those interested in disability services, human services, or social services.

Responsibilities

• Work with a close-knit team to design and implement fun, meaningful, and rewarding programs for the people we serve.
• Direct Care: Help individuals with daily activities such as eating lunch, taking medicine, and using the bathroom.

Requirements

• Caring and patient towards people with different needs.
• Experience in disability services and passion for serving clients well.
• Safe and reliable, with a valid driver’s license and DOT Medical card.

Qualifications

• A BA/BS degree in a related field and 1 year work experience providing direct care for persons with disabilities, or
• An AA degree in a related field and 2 years of experience providing direct care for persons with disabilities, or
• A diploma in a related field from an accredited postsecondary institution and 3 years of experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities, or
• A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and 4 years of work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualification identified in the above criteria.
